Linda Smith is passionate about assisting companies and individuals to optimize their talent potential

Prior to joining Global Consulting Group, Linda spent over15 years working as a Recruitment & Talent Management Consultant where she assisted some of Canada’s fastest growing technology and engineering companies to attract talent for a range of key roles. Concurrent with her functions as a Recruiter, Linda also worked as a Career Transition Coach, providing high-impact job search advice to hundreds of career coaching clients.

Linda joined Global Consulting Group (GCG) in 2012 and is active as a Lead Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Recruiter and as Director of GCG’s award-nominated Career Coaching & Transition division.

As Lead RPO Recruiter, Linda has delivered top talent to valued clients and built long-term relationships with technology and engineering organizations. As head of Career Transition, she has helped GCG create a client-centered Outplacement practice where each program is customized to meet an individual’s unique needs. She leverages her knowledge of the competitive job market to ensure that all career transition clients have the tools and best practices needed to support their future career success.

Her academic qualifications include an Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree from Western University, Ivey School of Business. Linda is a Certified Resume Strategist and Professional LinkedIn Profile Writer and developed an on-line training program to assist with job search and profile creation. She is an enthusiastic Speaker and Trainer and has spoken to many groups including York University, the Markham Small Business Centre, and CHUM FM with audiences including IT Professionals, Engineers and Executives. Her network is extensive and she can call upon experts in many fields to attain relevant industry advice to benefit her clients.

Linda is an avid swimmer and outdoor fitness enthusiast. She is also very active in her community and loves donating her time to help people find careers that sustain, challenge and reward them.
